* Making catnip pillows, recycling totes and any other handmade items that are sold with proceeds going to the Urgent Care Program

* Trapping ferals and / or transporting animals to an assigned veterinarian for their spay/neuter surgery

* View the volunteer match website for additional positions - https://www.volunteermatch.org/search/org644931.jsp

Volunteer Highlight

Karen

Karen Caldwell has been volunteering with Paws in Need for the past four years. She is an instrumental member of the Fundraising team. Her main role is to help raisefunds to assist families with much needed medical treatments for their pets. She has dedicated much time this year obtaining raffle and silent auction donations for theupcoming Valentine Crab Feed Fundraiser, scheduled Feb 3, 2018. Karen enjoys helping at the Crab Feed every year and has been excited to see its' evolution - froma small, standard fundraising event to a fun, friendly gathering for people of all ages. Karen also volunteers once a month at Bingo Night in Livermore. She recommends this event for anyone who wants to help Paws in Need without making a major time commitment.

Karen and husband Dave own and run Caldwell Compliance Company in Pleasanton. Their office is a dog-friendly environment where employees can bring their dogs to work! Karen and Dave live with their very loved and spoiled pit-mix Dexter. On Sundays, you can find all three watching football games together, specifically the Raiders.
