Paws In Need Partners with Elev8 to Transform Everyday Purchases into Lifesaving Support
Innovative Round-Up Program Transforms Spare Change into Vital Funding for Animal Welfare
San Ramon, CA , Paws In Need, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving animal welfare in the Tri-Valley region, is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Elev8 , a secure and effortless platform that turns everyday spending into meaningful support.
Non-profit organizations like Paws In Need play a vital role in strengthening local communities, especially through the programs provided directly to the public. However, securing consistent funding for these essential services remains an ongoing challenge. That’s where innovative platforms like Elev8 come in.
Elev8 enables donors to make small, manageable contributions, turning spare change into sustained impact. Through this partnership, supporters can now give back as part of their daily routines, proving that even the smallest act of giving can help make a big difference over time.
The rise of round-up platforms is reshaping the traditional philanthropic landscape, making it more user-friendly and impactful for both donors and nonprofit organizations. While contributions from individuals and other charitable sources are essential, not all donors have the financial capacity to make large, one-time gifts. Round-up platforms offer an inclusive alternative, allowing supporters to contribute by simply rounding up their everyday credit card purchases. This approach empowers donors to support the causes they care about in a meaningful, budget-friendly way.
“We started Elev8 because we saw a gap in how organizations raise funds,” notes Scott Holtkamp, CEO & Founder of Elev8.
“There needed to be a seamless, impactful way to connect donors with the causes they care about, without friction or barriers. Elev8 isn’t just a platform; it’s a movement to revolutionize charitable giving, making generosity effortless and turning every moment into an opportunity to make a difference.”
Elev8 is PCI compliant, ensuring that no card information is stored on its servers. All donor data is protected using industry-standard security measures, offering peace of mind for those who choose to give. The platform’s commitment to transparency and donor anonymity empowers individuals to contribute confidently, knowing their information is secure and their impact is real.

Holtkamp adds:
“At Elev8, our mission is simple yet powerful: to transform the way organizations raise funds by harnessing the power of technology. We believe that fundraising should be easy, engaging, and accessible to all, regardless of size or budget. By providing innovative tools like round-up donations and real-time rewards, we empower nonprofits to connect with their communities in meaningful ways. Our goal is to elevate your fundraising efforts, making every donation count and driving greater impact for the causes that matter most.”

About Paws In Need
Paws In Need is a California 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving animal welfare in the local community. Since 2013, its mission has been to provide life-saving programs, including:
- Low-cost spay and neuter services
- One-time financial assistance for urgent veterinary care
- Humane Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) programs for community cats
As an all-volunteer organization, Paws In Need directs over 92% of all funds raised and devotes 100% of its energy and resources to sustaining vital programs offered directly to the public. These efforts help prevent unnecessary suffering, illness, surrender, and euthanasia of companion and community animals.
Paws In Need does not own a physical facility to house animals or deliver veterinary care. Instead, the organization partners with veterinary providers, no-kill shelters, and nonprofit rescue and foster groups to fulfill its mission.
Since its inception, Paws In Need has assisted over 8,000 dogs and cats in the East Bay Area. Thanks to ongoing community support from generous donors, partners, and volunteers, the organization has made a significant impact in reducing animal overpopulation and keeping animals safe, healthy, and out of overcrowded shelters.
